Afterschool Alliance Youth Town Hall
You're invited to our Lights On Afterschool centerpiece event: the Youth Town Hall.
Starting at 4 p.m. MT, four youth leaders from afterschool programs (ages 13-16) will speak in a panel/Q&A format, sharing their afterschool experiences (pre and during COVID), and discussing what youth need to thrive. With the election soon after our event, they'll talk about what our leaders need to do to make sure all youth can reach their full potential. Our youth panelists are particularly interested in discussing the learning opportunities and mental health supports youth need, especially among BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
This event will be held on Zoom and promoted nationwide to afterschool programs. Along with the panel discussion, we will have a few pre-recorded videos to share during the event showcasing youth work! Register here!
