According to the most recent America After 3pm STEM data, Montana afterschool and summer programs provide hands-on STEM learning for students to explore, learn, and grow. There are 10,538 children with STEM learning opportunities in afterschool programs in Montana. But, too many young people are still missing out…For every child in an afterschool program, 4 more children are waiting to get in. Below, you’ll find an array of ways to bring more STEAM opportunities to youth in Montana!

CSKT's Online STEM Education Resources

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation, and Conservation has created a collection of learning modules on the Salish and Kootenai Tribes and the natural world. These modules offer opportunities for science, language arts, social studies, mathematics, etc. and are perfect for integration across all content areas. Fire on the Land, Explore the River, The Lower Flathead River, and more have been updated and made digital.

Explorer Classroom: Where Education Meets Exploration

Explorer Classroom: Afterschool Edition is an interactive YouTube show that connects students with world-renowned National Geographic Explorers, like Mt. Everest Cartographer Alex Tait.
